American Craft Council

Dear ACC Artists,

The sudden cancellation of the Atlanta show was an appropriate response to the national news regarding the pandemic of SARS-COVID19 sweeping the nation and the world. The cancellation of the show not only impacted us, as exhibiting artists but the council has also been financially affected by this necessary decision. The Council is a nonprofit organization that works in partnership with artists to create sales opportunities that have benefitted the craft community for decades.

As exhibiting artists and former, present and lifetime trustees, Gabriel Ofiesh, Tom Turner and myself are donating half our Atlanta booth fees to the council to help keep the organization solvent. In this challenging moment we will need to come together as a community and support each other as well as the organizations that provide opportunities for working craftspeople.

If you can donate any portion of your booth fee or forward a credit for another ACC show please reach out to Melanie Bender at mlittle@craftcouncil.org and do so before March 23rd. If you have social networks that could donate even a small amount to the Craft Council, please reach out and champion the organization that has championed us for so long. Donations of any amount can be made here @donate2craft.com ( just made this up but we can get a paypal link set up)

Looking forward to seeing you all again soon!

Stay well,

Rebecca Myers
